The Knoxville School Board met in regular session on Monday night.

The meeting started with the board receiving the annual district nurse report and the annual principal’s report. The board then held a discussion regarding a Ken Locke Stadium lease agreement, but no action was taken. There was then approval of school safety grant quotes, quotes for fencing and concrete at Randy Wilson Track, approval of the 2024-2025 employee handbook, revisions to the 2024-2025 school calendar, and a first reading of the board policies for recommended updates. 

The meeting concluded with the board setting a special meeting for Thursday regarding hiring of a new West Elementary principal after the resignation of former principal Amy Taylor, which became official Monday night.
