The Norwalk Parks and Recreation department recently moved into their new offices at the City State Bank Norwalk Fieldhouse. 

The new offices, which are located at 2011 East 18th Street, are open to the public, but the rest of the Fieldhouse is still under construction. Aquatic Supervisor Shauneica Lane said it was a smooth transition to the new facility, and adds that she is grateful to have more room to store things used by the department.

“So I would say personally, my favorite thing about moving here would be the storage space. In our old building, we didn’t really have much storage space. We had our stuff all over the place, from public works cold storage to McAninch Sports Complex, to the aquatic center, we just didn’t really have one location for all of our programs, events, and sports equipment.”
