Family practice physician Saima Shahid has joined Pella Regional Health Center’s medical staff and is practicing at Pella Regional Medical Clinic in Knoxville. Dr. Shahid has been a part of UnityPoint Health for over 18 years, working in the Des Moines area. Most recently, she practiced at the McFarland Clinic & Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, providing family medicine and urgent care. She also has experience providing Occupational Medicine with Concentra Medical Clinic in Des Moines.

Dr. Shahid completed her residency in Family Medicine with the Mercy Mayo/Rochester Residency Program in Des Moines. She earned her medical degree at King Edward Medical University and her Pre-Medical degree from Kinnaird College, both located in Pakistan. She holds an MRCOG degree from the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynecology in London. Dr. Shahid is a board-certified family physician with more than 28 years of experience in hospitals and clinic settings.
