A Friday power outage in Knoxville was caused by a transformer fire.

The transformer was at the corner of W Larson St. and N Lincoln St. according to Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman. The power outage affected more than 3,000 MidAmerican customers and businesses all over Knoxville.
