The Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad stayed in the hunt against Mormon Trail but ultimately lost to the other Saints from the Bluegrass Conference 4-3 on Thursday. Melcher-Dallas got down 3-0 in the 1st inning, but cut the lead to 3-2 in the 5th, but Mormon Trail added another run in its half of the 5th, which proved to be the difference. Mason Dejong, Reece Chiabotta, Evan Schrader, Tucker Branson all collected one hit each. Austin Remster took the loss going 5 2/3 allowing just five hits and four runs and struck out five. Melcher-Dallas takes on Central Decatur on Wednesday of next week.
