The cities of Milo, Pleasantville, and Norwalk will hold their Independence Day celebrations on Thursday.

Milo’s event will begin with the FFA breakfast at the community center from 7-10 am, followed by the kiddie parade at 9:30 and the parade at 11 am. Afternoon activities include the presentation of colors at 12:30 pm, the pie auction at 1, water fights at 2, live music at 3, and a bags tournament at 3. Milo Fourth of July Celebration Committee President Bill Baughman says that they are grateful to be able to host an event that everyone in Warren County can enjoy.

“It’s not just the people of Milo, it’s like the entire community surrounding us. The town of Milo’s less than eight hundred people, but on the day of the parade, there’s thousands here. I’ve never seen something as cool as it is. They line the street pretty much from the beginning of the parade all the way through the parade, it’s lined with people, and it’s just nice to see everybody out having fun, enjoying themselves. And it’s just an event that everybody seems to relax a little bit, have fun, and it’s nice to be able to host.”
