Due to rising water levels, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, will close North Overlook and Whitebreast beaches starting today.  The closures will remain in place until swim lines can be re-established, and the area is safe for use. Water levels are forecast to increase by as much as 20 feet over the next week-and-a-half.
