After their games were rained-out on Tuesday, the Indianola summer sports teams will be back in action tonight.

The Indians baseball team is set to travel to Des Moines East this evening, setting up their second matchup this week against a former conference opponent from when they were members of the CIML-Metro. Indianola won their other matchup against former CIML-Metro foe Des Moines Lincoln on Monday, defeating the Railsplitters 7-1. In a preview of their first round postseason matchup, the Indians will face a Scarlets team that holds a 17-16 record and has gone 3-2 in their last five games. The Indianola softball team, who was originally scheduled to be off today, will make up Tuesday’s postponed game with Ames tonight. The Indians will look to extend their recent winning streak to four games tonight, after defeating Ottumwa on Monday 9-5. In doing so, Indianola faces a Little Cyclones team that has gone 2-4 in their last six games.

The Indians baseball contest at Des Moines East is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm tonight, while first pitch of the softball game at Ames is set for 7 pm.
