
The cities of Milo, Pleasantville, and Norwalk will hold their Independence Day celebrations today.
Milo’s event will begin with the FFA breakfast at the community center, followed by the kiddie parade and parade. Afternoon activities include the presentation of colors, a pie auction, water fights, live music, a bags tournament, a raffle drawing, and more.
Festivities in Pleasantville will start with the flag raising ceremony and will be followed by the parade. Other activities at Pleasantville’s celebration include lunch, the star-spangled dancers, and the Joe Inman Band. Pleasantville’s Spectacular Fireworks Display at the Sports Complex will conclude the event at dusk.
Norwalk’s celebration will feature a parade and fireworks at dusk.
The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio and Lil’ Big Red Radio are participating in area parades and festivities and a patriotic music magazine will air tonight from 9 to 11 pm on KNIA and KRLS.
