The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening, reviewing a housing study in the city that took place over the course of several months. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the conclusion of the study was the city needed to find a way to grow in all areas including single family, apartments, multi-family, and more.

“Making sure we have sufficient housing for our business needs and our business owners who are trying to hire employees. Like anything, we need to look at our overall housing stock and making sure we have a good quality and diverse makeup of our housing stock so we can meet the needs of our housing community from when you are first starting out and getting married to one foot in the grave. We need to meet the needs of every demographic all the way through our entire community.”
