indianola-8

The Indianola baseball team has been in a groove for the last month, including big wins over Dallas Center-Grimes and Waukee, but in order to advance in the postseason the Indians will need to try and find extra ways to get on base. The Indians have drawn 126 walks over their 35 games so far this season, good for 3.6 per game, and have only struck out 151 times which is good for the best in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The Indians will need to continue to put the ball in play, where they can take advantage of their 122 stolen bases on the season, tops in the conference and fourth in all of class 4A. The Indians get back on the field Monday at Ballard.
