Jordan Beal has been promoted to Knoxville Fire Lieutenant.
Beal was sworn in and received his official oath of office at Monday’s Knoxville City Council meeting. Beal, a Knoxville High School graduate, was hired by the Knoxville Fire Department in 2018. Beal has fire/EMS certifications in Firefighter one and two, EMT-B, Haz-Mat Tech, Fire Inspector, officer development school, tech rescue, and water rescue. Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman says Beal has proven himself within the department and it is nice to be able to promote him.
“As a leader in public safety, one of your goals should be to have your staff ready to move up when that time arises, and give them the tools and opportunities they need to better themselves.”
Beal is working on a degree in fire science administration from Waldorf University.
