The Knoxville Baseball Squad closed out its home portion of the season with a 4-0 loss to Bondurant-Farrar on Monday. The Blue Jays scored two runs in the 1st and two more in the 4th and held Knoxville to just three hits, but the Panthers got plenty of baserunners but left eight on base. Kyler Gifford, Lincoln Norris, and Urban Ziller got one hit each, Brady Roozeboom took the loss striking out five. Left fielder Luke Roozeboom tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this team can learn from this loss and gain confidence for games later this week.

Roozeboom: “I think they’re ranked eighth in their class and the top seed in their district, and to allow just four runs against one of our not number 1 or 2 pitchers was pretty impressive.”

Knoxville has two more regular season games to go as the Panthers will travel to Oskaloosa tonight before Friday’s class 3A substate game at Winterset. Listen for a full interview with Roozeboom on Today’s Lely Radio Sports Page on KNIA/KRLS.
