It was the end of the road for the Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad on Monday as the Saints fell to Montezuma in the first round of the class 1A regional 8-1. A five run burst by the Braves in the 4th inning put the game out of reach for the Saints. Early on Melcher-Dallas was hanging with the Braves. The Saints actually scored first in their half of the 1st inning on a Montezuma error. Brooklyn Metz led the Saints with two hits while Lotty Nolte took the loss, striking out two. Melcher-Dallas finishes the season with an 8-23 record.
