The 2024 Marion County Fair will kick off tomorrow.

This year’s fair theme is “Barn in the USA” and it will be filled with livestock on display, livestock shows, 4-H projects on display at Dyer Hudson Hall from members of all area clubs, contests, games, daytime and evening entertainment, and more. This year’s evening entertainment lineup includes Cooper Alan in concert on Friday night, sprint car races on Saturday, a rodeo on Sunday, Impact Pro Wrestling on Monday, and a demo derby on Tuesday. There will also be food and activities for all ages at the fair.

The opening day of the fair will include a dog show at 8:30 am, open class judging, a coloring contest from 2:00-3:00pm, Absolutely Jim at 3:00pm and 5:00pm, open skate at the skate pit from 3:00-6:00 pm, the evening Cooper Alan concert at 7:00 pm and more. Marion County Fair General Manager Jason Reed hopes everyone can see all of the talent on display at the fair.

“I encourage people to come out here and take a look, and try it out and see. Even if you’ve never been around livestock there is plenty of other stuff to do. Just to walk through the barn and talk to some of the kids that are in the livestock barn, they’re all genuine good kids and have them tell you about their projects. Everyone one of those kids like to tell people what they do and all the effort they put into it. I encourage everyone to come out and see what we got.”
