The third annual Hartford BBQ Bash is set to take place next week.
Activities for the event will feature a bags tournament, water fights, live music, a farm to table dinner, and a meat smoking competition. Sophia Eckert with Hartford Hometown Pride says that the event originally started as a small idea to have a meat smoking competition, but community excitement resulted in the event growing into an all-day event.
“We ended up partnering with the Warren County Farm Bureau team for the first year, and the farm to table dinner was so explosive that we didn’t have a choice, we had to come back and do it again. The community was so excited and so involved about the whole day’s events that I think this whole thing has just run on excitement.”
The smoking competition for the Hartford BBQ Bash begins at 7 pm on Friday, July 19th, while community activities will start at 7 am on Saturday, July 20th. To register or see a schedule of events for the bash, find a link here.
