While there has been visible progress on work to construct new bleachers at at the Pella Football Stadium, a redesign delay this spring has pushed the project back into a winter completion. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says even if the steel needed for the project would have arrived as planned in June, it was unlikely much, if any, of the fall football and marching band season would have been hosted at the field. Ebeling says a need to move the proposed elevator in the schematics pushed the arrival of the seats for the stadium into this month at the soonest. The press box will be constructed once the new seats are installed. This will move fall varsity activities to Central College for football and the Marching Dutch competitions to Pella Christian High School. However, lower level games will still be played at the current stadium, in similar fashion to how soccer was hosted in the spring.
