The Pleasantville softball team will be competing in the Class 2A Region 5 semifinals on the road against Interstate 35 tonight.

The Trojans are coming off a lopsided 10-0 victory over Nodaway Valley on Tuesday night in the regional quarterfinals. The Roadrunners are 19-15 this season and are coming off a 8-0 win over Southwest Valley in their quarterfinal matchup. Pleasantville and Interstate 35 are certainly familiar foes as they both compete in the West Central Conference. This season the two teams played each other twice with the Trojans winning 5-1 on June 4th, and the Roadrunners winning 14-4 on June 27th. Both teams will now face off in a rubber match with a trip to the regional finals on the line.
