The Indianola softball team fell to the Tigers of ADM Saturday evening in the regional semifinal round 9-2 as heard live on 94.3 KNIA.
The Indians gave up two runs in the first, another in the third, then fell behind 8-0 after a five-run third inning. The Indians got two runs back in the fifth with an RBI single by Tessa Gripp and a sacrifice fly from Dana Blake, but wouldn’t be able to get any closer.
Head coach Stacy Evans tells KNIA Sports the team grew a ton throughout the course of the season, and she looks forward to the things they will be able to achieve in the future, but this senior class really embodied what it was to be an Indianola softball player.
“The ones who are here are the ones who you want out on the field. The ones who have stuck with the team this long to become a senior, and I think that says something about Kyra (Robins), Katie (Fosenburg), and Kennedy (Amos).
The Indians season comes to a close with a record of 20-18, and graduate a senior class of three.
