Following a motion by the South Central Regional Airport Agency board to indefinitely pause development of a regional airport in Mahaska County, the Pella City Council will discuss their options at Tuesday’s meeting.

No formal action will be taken, but the council will get to ask questions about how to proceed, which will likely include a new 28E Agreement in the near future. Pella Mayor Don DeWaard and City Councilmember Mark DeJong were both appointed to the SCRAA Board prior to their July 3rd meeting, and did vote to pause future development.

The Pella City Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
