Pella’s No. 9 in 3A baseball team is hopeful to get one step closer to their second bid to the state tournament in three years as they host Winterset in the Substate Semifinals this evening.

The Dutch defeated the Huskies on June 18th 8-2, who at the time were playing with a 7-10 overall record. Since then, Head Coach Jesse Jablonski says the 5th place team in the Raccoon River Conference has found their stride, winning nine of their next 11 games, including a 9-4 first round win over Knoxville last week.
