Statement below:

At 7:00pm on Monday, July 15th , authorities allowed our residents to return to their home, here
at Accura HealthCare of Knoxville.  While we are pleased at this development, we are deeply
saddened to report that yesterday’s incident resulted in the tragic loss of one of residents,

impacted by this incident, in your prayers.

While it will take some time to repair the damage caused by yesterday’s car accident, we are
committed to restoring our community as quickly as we can to the home our residents have
grown accustomed to and deserve. We want to thank our community members, our residents,
and families for the patience and understanding you have shown over the last 24 hours. We also
must thank our staff who immediately responded with dedication and grace, keeping the impact
on our residents to a minimum. Finally, our thanks go out to Knoxville Police and Fire
departments, the Iowa State Patrol, Marion County Emergency Management Services, Knoxville
Hospital, the Iowa National Guard Armory, and all of the first responders who stepped in to
assist and safeguard our residents and staff. Thank you for your understanding and support.
