The Knoxville Public Library is holding an Olympic Story Time event with Randy Wilson on Thursday.

This is an opportunity for kids in the community to hear stories from one of the greatest track and field athletes and coaches in Iowa history. Wilson will also talk about his experience qualifying for the Olympics in 1980, as we are approaching the 2024 Summer Olympics. Knoxville Public Library Director Roslin Thompson hopes kids in the community can come out to hear about Wilson’s experience.

“That was the year that we had a boycott of the Olympics so he wasn’t able to go, but he is willing to come and talk to us about his experience. We will have story time, we will read fun books, we will have activities, and we will have prizes to give out.”

This event is free and open to the public.
