Everyone knew this would be a different baseball season in Knoxville. The Panthers were very young going into this season and while the season ended in the class 3A Substate opener on Friday to Winterset. There is hope for the future that nearly everyone will be back next season. Coach Turner Devore told KNIA/KRLS Sports that it was frustrating to hear opposing coaches in the handshake line say his team is going to be really good next year…but that is the reaality the Devore is looking forward to.
Devore: “We’ve come to realize that we are young, Seth caught for most of the year and Briar stepped in, and Roston, plus some of the other guys that stepped up into roles. It’s going to be an exciting couple of years.”
Knoxville finished 16-18 and lost only one senior as Dakota Ramsey will depart the program.
