The Pella City Council held a pair of public hearings for developments at their meeting this evening. The agenda included ordinances and resolutions for a proposed EPCON Residential Urban Renewal Plan and for the Prairie Ridge West Planned Unit Development, all of which were approved. Other actions included another delay of a contract for West 9th Street Improvements into August, setting a public hearing date for a proposed development agreement with Courtyards Land Holding, LLC, and approval of an access easement agreement with Kwik Trip. Policy and planning included several topics for discussion — but no formal action, including a pickleball partnership request with Central College, a plan to move forward with either renovated or new soccer fields, an update about the South Central Regional Airport Agency, the demolition of the old Second Christian Reformed Church building, and a City Council norms procedure policy.
