The annual Marion County Public Safety Night will be held on Sunday, September 8th, celebrating first responders throughout the county.

The event will take place at the Marion County Fairgrounds from 2-6 pm. The celebration of public safety personnel in Marion County will feature department demonstrations, food, a rock climbing wall, air med, a fire safety house, face painting, and an award ceremony. Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt encourages residents of all communities in the county to join them.

“It’s a great event. For the one time a year that we do it, I really encourage residents of Marion County, all of the rural residents and all of the individuals that live in town or cities, to come and just spend a little bit of time. There’s fun activities to do and the camaraderie of us all just getting together.”
