The #1 seeded Martensdale-St. Mary’s softball team will try to one-up their finish from last season and win a class 1A state championship tonight against #6 Sigourney. The Blue Devils have been near flawless in pitching and defense, giving up just a run in each of their previous two games, but may need to up the scoring against a powerful Savages offense that has scored nine runs in their state tournament journey so far.

The Blue Devils fell to North Linn in the 2023 state championship game, and have won their previous two games this state tournament 2-1 over Edgewood-Colesburg and Fort Dodge-St. Edmond.

The game is at the Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge at 7:30pm.
