As a few weeks of hibernation begins for high school athletes, and as the next class prepares for the coming academic year, KNIA/KRLS will look back at the moments that made the last 12 months special in our local communities.

Since 2016-17 concluded, we’ve done top ten countdowns for each local high school, as well as Central and Simpson College, going through the biggest wins, the record-breaking performances, the walk-off hits and buzzer-beating victories.

Starting Monday with #10, the KNIA/KRLS Sports Team will look back at the top ten stories for each school, with interviews and broadcast highlights taking listeners back to how those moments unfolded. Today’s Lely Radio Sports Page will have a feature combining the list daily as well. All of the stories will be posted online at KNIAKRLS.com.
