Indianola girls bowler Vicki Andrews won a state title as a sophomore last year, and made a return trip bowling with the Railsplitters of Des Moines Lincoln as a junior but ran into the worst luck of the tournament and was knocked out in the first round. Andrews bowled a 266 in the first round, which was good enough for the second best score in the entire top eight bracket, unfortunately it was a career day by her opponent Kendra Schwarting who bowled a 289 to win. No other bowler in the entire tournament scored over a 245 the rest of the way. Andrews will return in her senior season to try and claim a second state championship.
