The Knoxville Farmers Market is seeing strong crowds on Saturday mornings.
The market that is held every Saturday from 8:00 am – Noon had to close their Tuesday market earlier this year due to the low number of vendors, but the Saturday market is seeing a strong amount of vendors and shoppers. The market is filled with many vendors who are local, selling a variety of fresh vegetables, flowers, baked goods, hand crafted items, and more. Director of the Knoxville Farmers Market Denay Marsh says this is a great opportunity to support these local vendors.
“You hear a lot of people with the movement support local and it doesn’t get much more local. A lot of these people are making it themselves right here in Knoxville, or Melcher, or surrounding communities, and they’re growing it right here in their gardens.”
The last farmers market of the season will be September 28th.
