Counting down the top 10 moments of the 2023-24 school year for Indianola High School with #9. Both the boys and girls swimming teams qualified multiple events to the state meet this year in their respective seasons, with the Indianola boys swimming team once again claiming a state championship. Junior Isaiah Picard won for the third straight year, this time claiming the championship in the 50 Freestyle Para with a time of 42.55, and second in the 100 Freestyle Para with a time of 1:42.85. Bacon has qualified to state multiple times in her career, and knew she and the team would come up big when they needed to.

“I was pretty confident we had a pretty good shot to make it in, in at least one of the relays. So we had a lot of hope in the team, and we backed off last week to prepare, stretch, and get a lot of sleep to help prepare, so I was really confident going in.”

Both the boys and girls teams will bring back multiple state meet qualifiers for next season.
