Claiming the number nine spot for Pleasantville top sports stories of the 2023-2024 school year is junior volleyball player Emily Roe breaking the school record for digs in a season.
The junior libero had an impressive season for the Trojans as she came away with a staggering 356 digs on the year. Roe passed Breanna Benge who had the previous record with 343 digs in 2019. Roe finished with the second most digs in the West Central Conference. Roe also carried a team high 92% serve efficiency percentage, and finished with first team all conference honors. Roe helped lead the Trojans to their best record in school history and will try to help the team break that record for the third straight season in her senior year this fall.
Pleasantville finished the season with a 27-13 overall record.
