Our #8 moment of the top ten countdown of moments from Knoxville High School sports brings us to the volleyball court. It is not much of a debate that Brittany Bacorn will go down as one of the greatest volleyball players to ever play for Knoxville. She cemented that during her senior season by breaking the all-time kills record with her 974th kill in a tournament in Atlantic in early September. A week later she made even more history by becoming the first Panther to crack the 1,000 mark in kills, digs, and assists later on in the season. Bacorn told KNIA/KRLS Sports she was honored to be ahead of some of the greats in program history including her mom.

Bacorn: “It’s awesome and crazy. It’s been a goal since my freshman year and just thanks to all my teammates. My mom says I’m better than she was so I’ll take it.”

Bacorn would lead the Panthers to a South Central Conference title, more on that later in the countdown. Bacorn will continue her volleyball career at the University of Tulsa
