The Norwalk Fire Department was assisted by multiple agencies in putting out a house fire over the weekend. 

At approximately 10:40 Sunday evening, the Norwalk Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 2200 block of Windflower Drive. The Norwalk Fire Department initially responded with an engine and ambulance with four personnel. Upon arrival, the responding crew encountered a fully-engulfed detached garage, with the fire extending into the residence. The incident was upgraded to a Working Fire First Alarm, prompting the assistance of an engine from West Des Moines and Windsor Heights. Norwalk firefighters initiated a defensive fire attack starting in the driveway and then made entry into the home. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Norwalk Fire Department was assisted on scene by the West Des Moines Fire Department, the Windsor Heights Fire Department, and the Norwalk Police Department.
