It was no secret going in that Jillian French was the ace pitcher for the Sabers Softball Squad she also carried a big bat as well and this summer she had possibly her best season as she tied a school record that had not been equalled since 1978. French slugged her ninth home run of the season tying Connie Vanderhorst’s record in a class 1A regional game against Danville. French finished her career with 15 home runs. She will continue her softball career at Iowa Central.
