Counting down the top 10 moments of the 2023-24 school year for Indianola High School with #5
Indianola head softball coach Stacy Evans is now one of just over 40 coaches to cross the 700-win mark, as the Indians defeated Cedar Rapids Kennedy 5-3 on June 8th earlier this year. Evans said the win count is fun to look at sometimes, but she wouldn’t be where she is without the hard work of her assistant coaches, players, parents, Indianola Activities staff, and the entire community.
Coach Evans was named head coach of Indianola in the year 2000, and in 24 years of coaching has guided the Indians to eight state tournament appearances, a class 5A runner-up finish in 2018, and a class 4A state title in 2012, and was inducted into the Iowa girls Coaches Association Hall of Fame last year.
