The Indianola High School boys and girls track and field teams found themselves in a tightly contested Little Hawkeye Conference Track and Field meet this spring, and despite not only battling some of the top athletes in the entire state in addition to the rainy conditions, both teams found themselves crowned Little Hawkeye Conference champions at the end of the night.
The Indians girls had conference champions in the:
Shuttle Hurdle – Indianola (Sully Downey, Sully Madison Grover, Lilly Hoger, Josie McGraw) – 1:05.55
Long Jump – Gabby Akin and Averie Rogers, Indianola (16-01.75)
Shot Put – Sam Gripp, Indianola (37-7.5)

While the boys found champions in the:

Boys head coach Matt Oliver said this senior class was great leaders, and it was nice to see them get some hardware and rewarded for their hard work.
Both teams went on to have good showings at the class 4A state track and field meet.
