Momentum is a huge thing, and Kyle Larson will bring a large amount of momentum into this week’s 63rd Running of the Nos Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals as he won the Sage Fruit Front Row Challenge on Monday night. Larson took advantage of a restart and passed Corey Day on lap 18 and held on after several challenges by Day in the closing laps. Day settled for second with Carson Macedo running third. The highest finishing Knoxville weekly driver was Kerry Madsen in eighth. Also winning last night was Cade Richards from Lincoln, Nebraska in the IMCA Race Saver Sprint Cars. Tonight is an off night for racing in Southern Iowa as the sprint car world will congregate at the Knoxville Raceway on Wednesday with the Knoxville Nationals.
