The Marion County Road Department has been busy working on numerous road construction projects throughout the county.
Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian says that county staff has faced adversity with significant rainfall this summer, and that they faced similar challenges this winter with substantial amounts of snow falling in the area. He also says that many in the road department have been utilizing time off built up from this winter. Christian added that the staff’s work to manage projects has been excellent in spite of difficulties experienced due to weather.
“Honestly, I think, like the blizzard, our staff really thrives in that kind of adversity and that’s really some of the best work product we get, is when we are really busy. And we’re constantly reprioritizing and they’re able to serve the public in the best way they know how.”
