Counting down the top 10 moments of the 2023-24 school year for Simpson College with #3.

The Simpson women’s soccer team has been a team on the rise over the last several years, making multiple runs through the American Rivers Conference tournament and culminating in an at-large selection to the NCAA DIII Tournament. The Storm defeated Luther in the American Rivers Conference semifinals 2-0, then fell to Loras in the championship in penalty kicks, but the 16-3-2 overall record was enough to get them selected. The Storm won their opening round game against St. Catherine 2-1 with Cassie Nash scoring both goals, but fell to Wisconsin-La Crosse 3-1 with a controversial goal counted against in the next round.

Head coach Jeremy Reinert said the expectations for the Storm have changed, and that means the goals just keep aiming higher.

“When we qualified, we had to say we aren’t done. We have to go try and win games. We believe that we are one of the best teams in the country, and those teams win in November. So let’s go win in November.”

The Storm begin their 2024 campaign on August 18th.
