The City of Indianola was selected as a Main Street Iowa Community by the Iowa Economic Development Authority as announced earlier this week, bringing with it multiple opportunities for funding and infrastructure improvements. City of Indianola Communications Director Aaron Young tells KNIA News it is important to recognize the hard work behind the scenes from those behind the application, and looking ahead will include setting the framework of what this program will look like for Indianola.

“The recruitment of a board, to hiring the Executive Director, to laying down the foundation for what 2025 and onward will look like. The best way to stay engaged with this conversation is to stay in tune with what the City of Indianola, Chamber of Commerce, Warren County Economic Development, all these different stakeholders and key groups have when we are pushing out this information to stay engaged. We are just excited.”
