A Pella baseball standout who had a torrid senior season in all aspects of the game received one of the highest possible postseason honors for his stellar performance in 2024. Isaiah Kettler was chosen among the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association 2024 All-State Super Team, which honors the best athletes in Iowa regardless of class.

Kettler was sensational this past summer, with several stats ranking among Iowa’s best, including:
– 17 doubles (6th in Iowa)
– 86 total bases (11th in Iowa)
– 52 hits (17th in Iowa)
– .843 slugging percentage (18th in Iowa)

Kettler ranked in the top ten in Class 3A in average, on-base percentage, slugging, total bases, hits, and doubles. His all-around prowess was another reason for the selection, as he added 23 stolen bases on 24 chances, committed just one error in center field, and struck out 31 batters in 13 2/3 innings on the mound, with a 0.51 ERA and .067 opponent batting average.

The now-senior has committed to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
