The 2024 McKay Group Knoxville Nationals Parade was held in downtown Knoxville on Saturday.
The parade was filled with 52 entries consisting of public safety vehicles, local businesses, community organizations, and more. Along with the parade there was also the second annual downtown market going on that was filled with many vendors. The parade saw a strong turnout and Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Nathan Sage said it was great to bring so many race fans to the downtown area.
“We want to bring people downtown and show off our downtown. They got to experience the local vendors, the local business, and see what we have to offer. They’re still hanging out and having a good time. I’m incredibly happy and proud of what we saw here today.”
The downtown market also coincided with the weekly Knoxville Farmers Market.
