Newton School District Activities & Athletics Director Ryan Rump sees many positives with the school district’s new sports coverage partnership with KNIA/KRLS. Ryan Rump says he’s looking forward to the extensive coverage KNIA/KRLS will bring to all Newton Sports.
“A lot more features and more awareness to all of our athletics and activities we have going on in the Newton School District. I couldn’t be more excited.”
The Newton Activities and Athletics Department officially announced the partnership late last week at a parents meeting and on the Newton Cardinals Activities & Athletics Facebook page. Rump believes parents and fans will appreciate that live play-by-play of games will be streamed.
“The parents and stakeholders of our community are really going to like the way it’s set up. They can listen to the Newton Cardinals anywhere with the streaming with internet access. If you are tied down to the radio, you are kind of bound to your territory.”
The first Newton athletic event that will be streamed at www.kniakrls.com on the KRLS3 stream is the Friday, August 30th High School Football game at Adel against ADM. Hear more about the new partnership on Today’s Lely Radio Sports Page on KNIA/KRLS.
