It will be a different look to the Knoxville Volleyball Squad this season. The Panthers had one of their best years since Mollie Keitges took over coaching, finishing 27-10, winning the South Central Conference and getting to within one game of the state tournament only to lose to the eventual State Champion. While it will be different, Coach Mollie Keitges is stopping short of saying it is a rebuild.

Keitges: “We certainly lost some big shoes from last year’s group that we need to fill. I know a lot of people think we’re going to be down, but we have a lot of experience and we’re going to surprise some people and have a lot of fun.”

Gone are two of the best players in recent memory for the Panthers in Brittany Bacorn and Ella Breazeale, who are both playing at the next level. The Panthers will return an experienced front row with Hannah Dunkin returning hitter with 169 kills last season along with Payton Horn and Rylyn McCarty…who Keitges adds has improved greatly over the offseason. Keitges says several players will have to have different roles this season and may have to move around some. Knoxville gets its season underway August 26th with a quad at Ottumwa.
