The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

At the meeting, the board approved an alcohol permit for Wackos in Knoxville as they have been closed for several months and expect to re-open, Christi Vander Voort to the City of Pella Community Development Committee, and the appointment of Chris Nesteby as the county’s new ADA Coordinator. Also at the meeting, the board approved the first reading of declaring EMS as an essential service in Marion County–which passed in a split vote, the VA Campus laundry building to move forward with being appraised, and a federal aid funding agreement for a county road project. The meeting concluded with Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian providing a road department update.
