Fall sports are underway at Pella Christian, as students have made their way back to Eagle Lane for football, volleyball, and cross country practices in preparation for the upcoming season.
Activities Director Dan Branderhorst says that he is excited for the impending year and to see athletes back at the school’s athletic facilities. Branderhorst added that he is grateful to see a record number of students participating in fall sports this year and for the connections and lessons that will be built and learned.
“At Pella Christian, it’s a really big deal for me for our kids to be involved, because being involved means that you get to develop and create new relationships, you get to learn, you get to grow, and you get to compete. We know that there are so many life lessons and skills that are learned through sports and we love the fact that our kids get to participate and learn those things through our activities.”
The Eagles fall sports teams will kick-off the 2024-2025 athletic year later this month, with the cross country teams set to open all events on August 29th in Marshalltown.
