PCM Head Football Coach Greg Bonnett looks to claim another district title.

The Mustangs went 5-0 in their district last year outscoring their district opponents 242-69 to earn a top seed entering the playoffs. The Mustangs then breezed their way through the first two rounds of the playoffs before falling to Van Meter by ten points in the state quarterfinals. The Mustangs finished the season with an 8-3 overall record and will look to improve upon that heading into this season. After making district play look easy last season, Coach Bonnett says it is important to never overlook any team they may face as you never know what to expect from one year to the next.

“None of those teams are going to be the same. I know there has been at least one coaching change that I know so you never know what you’re going to get there. All those guys were young and all of those guys definitely improved toward the end of the season. I would even say some of them had their worst games against us. I don’t think any of those teams are anything to overlook by any means. I think some of them are going to come out and play some really tough football and be competitive this year.”

PCM opens their season on August 30th at Sigourney-Keota.
