Ammie McGraw has taken over as new Pleasantville volleyball coach.

McGraw is a former college volleyball player for Kirkwood and Grandview and currently serves on the Pleasantville School Board. McGraw will take over a program that is coming off a season where they had the most wins in school history and she will look to keep the strong momentum going with six seniors on her team. The Trojans will return Emily Roe who was one of the top libero’s in the conference last season and set the school record for digs in a season. McGraw tells KNIA/KRLS that she is excited to take over the program.

“I’m just excited to be a part of it. I am thrilled to have gotten the head coaching position, but I’m also thrilled with my staff that is behind me. I think that coach Lemmon, coach Furnell, and coach Baethke each offer something that is specific to different positions. I think it is going to be super valuable to these girls this year and I absolutely can’t wait to see the product we put out on the floor for everyone this fall.”

McGraw will be featured on Monday’s Lely Radio Sports Page which airs during the 8:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 4:00 pm news magazines and is posted online at kniakrls.com
