Newton’s new school year begins this Friday. Kelly Sorenson, the District’s Communications/Outreach Secretary says students and parents can get the year off to a good start by attending the upcoming back to school nights.

“Pre-k through 4th grade is Wednesday, August 21st from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.. Families will attend at their designated elementary buildings. It’s a chance to meet their teachers, tour the building, meet their teachers, and just say hi.”

Berg Middle School will also have a similar “Back to School Night”. It will be on Thursday, August 22nd from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Sorenson says 5th grade orientation will occur at 6:00 that night as well.
